Every human beings original state is paripurana ,absolute fullness. Presently it is covered by desires. Due to the pressure of the desires the mind runs after the world. The three yogas karma yoga path of action, bhakthi yoga path of devotion, jnana yoga path of knowledge help to reduce the desires. As a result the mind slowly withdraws from its preoccupation with the world and gets established on the thought of the Self. Thus the well prepared mind is qualified to meditate. In meditation, the intellect holds the mind single-pointedly upon the Self without allowing it to slip into any other thought. Whenever the mind wanders away the intellect brings it back to the thought of the Self. Through sustained meditation one reaches the state of Self-realisation, the abode of absolute peace and bliss.
